Summertime is Dumpling Time!

WOOHOO!!

What a crazy week we just had.  The trucks strut their stuff last week – in the rain – and filled bellies all over NYC.  Then there was the Food Truck Rally in Prospect Park on Sunday.  Can you say line that was 80 people deep!!?

NOT TO MENTION WE OPENED A NEW STORE!

There’s a new Rickshaw Dumpling Bar on 459 Lexington Ave.  (Cross street is 45th St.)  You guys gave our trucks so much Midtown dumpling love we decided to build a brick and mortar location!  HOORAY!

National High Five Day! April 21st!

Holy toledo!  National Five Day is going to be here front and center on Thursday!!  What could be better than hearing that bright smack and letting your fellow New Yorker that you think they’re real boss.

It won’t be the warmest day of the week, but it’ll be the sunniest and right after isolated thunderstorms.  So that’s even more reason to celebrate!  And to give you some added motivation – our Rickshaw Trucks will be offering one free side per customer with every enthusiastic high five!

Hello dumplings lovers!!  Hope you had a lovely weekend..  Even though Saturday was a tad moist, yesterday was super fantastic!  Our truck was giving away free dumplings at the big HRC event.

So like we mentioned last week, we’re going to do a contest every week for user photos or video.  We get so many great shots of people eating dumplings and having a great time around the truck – why not reward you guys for it!!

Simple directions:

1.) Send us photo at truck@rickshawdumplings.com OR share to our twitter: @rickshawtruck and tell us where you took the shot.

2.) We’ll reply with how awesome you are.

3.) We circle some people in the photo, they may be you, your friends or strangers!

4.) The people in the photo that have been circled will have a week to show themselves and get free dumplings and a side at the location they were shot at!

Easy right? So remember to check the blog every week to see if you got circled.  Who knows, maybe you were in the background of someones shot!!

Dumplings all over NYC!

WHAT A CRAZY WEEKEND!  NYC you showed us so much dumpling love – from the crazy Hell’s Kitchen Flea to an awesome day at Tavern on the Green!!

This week we’re going to try something new.  We love getting photos of the truck!  Apparently loving dumplings also means you’re a great photographer.  You guys are so talented!  So every Monday we’ll post a new picture down below and circle one person in the photo.  That person has the chance to email/twitter us (thor@rickshawdumplings.com or kenny@rickshawdumplings.com) and get a free order of dumplings the next time they visit the store or truck!  But we can’t do this without you guys, obviously..  So take photos of yourself, coworkers, friends or even babies around the truck stuffing your face with dumplings or even standing in line!  We’ll post your picture and circle a few winners a week.  Remember to check back every Monday – you never know if you were in the background of someone else’s photo and won steamy goodness.
